Last night (15 August) Thames Valley Police officer PC Andrew Harper was tragically killed in the line of duty after attending a reported burglary.
National Police Chiefs’ Council Chair Martin Hewitt said:
“I am horrified and deeply saddened by the news that PC Andrew Harper of Thames Valley Police has been killed in the line of duty. It is a tragic reminder that police officers put themselves at risk on a daily basis to keep the public safe.
“My thoughts and condolences go out to Andrew’s family, friends and his colleagues at this deeply distressing time”.
