Summer is moving into full swing with many outdoor events being planned across the country.
Forces are busy liaising with organisers to ensure visitor safety.
A spokeswoman for the NPCC said: “Police across the country are working closely with the organisers of a range of big events this summer to ensure the safety and security of those attending.
"Ticket holders should check the websites of event organisers for detailed information before they travel to the venue, and remember to be patient and leave plenty of time to get through the security procedures.
“The current UK threat level is at Severe and we urge everyone to be alert but not alarmed - and report any suspicious activity to police or security officials.”
Anyone with any concerns should contact their local police on 101. In an emergency, always call 999.
