The police service will co-operate fully with the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Independent Police Complaints Commission in relation to Hillsborough investigations
ACPO lead on professional standards, Chief Constable Michael Cunningham, said:
“Both the IPCC and the DPP have made statements today setting out their intention to carry out investigations into the actions of officers involved in the tragic events at Hillsborough. We acknowledge the serious nature of the matters under investigation and the police service will co-operate fully.”
